History of reiki

Reiki pronounced (Rey key) is a experience where one opens himself up to the universal energy, Or Ki, and uses his/her hands as a vessel to channel that energy and direct it to where or what needs this energy. The system was started by Mikao Usui in the 1800’s. He discovered it after fasting and meditation for a 21 day period.

A Reiki practitioner brings his/her intent to transfer energy to other beings, things, or rooms. The Reiki energy is drawn to the object that needs healing. This is done by opening up to the universal energy that is all around. The Reiki practitioner does not do the healing but rather is a conduit for the healing process to happen.

Reiki is easy to learn and we offer classes to those who would like to become a Reiki healer. There are three levels of teaching in this tradition.

  • Level one you are introduced to Reiki and learn how to open up to, and direct the energy flow.
  • Level two you are taught how to do distance healing and you are given symbols and mantras to strengthen your abilities.
  • Level three you are taught how to teach and pass on this amazing gift to others.
